Anonymity, Take III

I received the following email, which I will quote in its entirety:

The problem with signing your blog is that reader’s (who are not blog-aware) say that it manifests a haughtiness, “Who does he think he is to publically comment on matters of which our Gedolim are asked to weigh in, or volunteer of themselves to do so?”

The disagreement which a blog-aware person will have with this, is that a blog is simply a personal diary, which is open for public perusal, not a public pronouncement. The antagonist will say, be it as it may, the diary also displays haughtiness.

Who’s correct?
